Arts Program Assistant
Work with our small, dedicated team to create big impact in Los Angeles! From our studio in Glassell Park or at various program sites throughout the city, your job will entail acting as a general assistant to our team, including prepping art materials for use at program sites, updating databases and workflow systems, and boots-on-the-ground program assistance to our facilitators and coordinators at our youth arts-in-nature programs. Learn about grant writing, running a small business, youth education, arts activism and more in this fun and fast-paced position!
Applicants should have their own laptop, access to a reliable car, be able to lift 40 lbs and be willing to get their hands dirty. Applicants should be comfortable using the Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail) and enjoy a blend of office work, being outside in nature and also creating art. Working with youth and experience in web design on SquareSpace and/or video production is a plus. If you have an existing arts practice in painting, drawing, design, fiber arts, filmmaking, or print-making, that is an extra plus! Most importantly, please come with a desire to make a difference in your local community.
This internship will entail 10-15 hours weekly of hybrid work from home, at our studio or at program sites across the city. You must be able to drive your own car to and from program sites and our studio.
